Recent Bereavements(6.10.02)

It was with great sadness that I learned recently of the deaths of two long serving members of staff. Cliff Gough passed away some months ago as did Vincent Amico.
Cliff, a nurse, was known for his robust and underestanding approach to those in his care. I well remember him encouraging the patients to keep fit and I can still feel the thrust of that 'medicine ball' when thrown in the sessions in the gym whilst us young student nurses escorted our charges to keep fit.
Vincent Amico served quietly and efficiently on the ancillary staff for many years and was well regarded by staff and patients alike.
Our condolences go out to their families and relatives and may they rest in peace. JH
