Mark Gibney Remembers (26.5.02)
Mark writes and says how he would have loved to have made it to the Reunions and hopes to do so sometime in the future. He bought the video of the '97 bash which he says serves as a warm reminder of the old days. He was at St Francis from 1968 - 1972 and recalls those days with affection.
He says : ' I grew up and was propelled into adulthood at SFH and I would love to hear from those who remember me - marcus@doh.health.gov.au - In the '97 video it is great to see so many familiar faces, some have not changed that much i.e., Paddy Henry (the voice is still the same - one would think he left Ireland last week). David Maxwell looks much the same. I flash back to my years and the good times I shared with so many wonderful people who helped me enjoy life and also shared with me some of my sad and difficult times. I wish the Friends of St Francis success, regards to all and hopefully I may visit the Club one day. I think I will write a book entitled 'How I survived Patcham ward'. Mark Gibney. JH |
