St Francis Hospital Contemporary to become a Tesco?(Jan '05)
The Middy reports that the fate of the former Sussex Pub - one of the first buildings in Haywards Heath together with St Francis Hospital and the train station - will soon be sealed after amendments have been made to a planning application adding a clause for a convenience store as well as 24 two bedroom flats.
The site has been empty since the pub was demolished at the start of 2004 but rumours are rife that Tesco will step into the breach . Tesco have said that...'we have always said we would be interested in a site in Haywards Heath.' |
