Why Hampshire Guitar Orchestra? This is Sussex!

Welcome to the Sussex page of hago, the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra.

We're on a Sussex website because we have players from Sussex and because we play concerts in Sussex - most recently at Chichester and Bognor Regis. In fact we're based right on the Hants/Sussex border. Check out our events page for our forthcoming concerts - there are concerts all over the area.

So what is a Guitar Orchestra?

Let's tell you about hago...

The Hampshire Guitar Orchestra (hago) was founded in 1999. We're an ensemble with a difference - we have 4 four different sizes of classical guitar, from the tiny alto to the large contra.

Many of our concerts are in aid of local charities - do come along and hear our unique sound and unusual repertoire, and support a worthwhile local cause at the same time!

Are you a Classical Guitarist?

Here in hago we have places vacancies for enthusiastic and committed players who want to be part of our exciting ensemble. Or if you are a novice adult player, our Musical Director has another ensemble which is much more informal!
