OUR MAIN WEBSITE CAN BE FOUND AT www.hassocksladiesfc.net
Hassocks Ladies FC are a friendly and well organised Women's Football Club in the Brighton and Hove area and are members of the South East Counties Women's Football League and affiliated to the Sussex County FA.
Home games are played using the superb facilities at the Beacon, Brighton Road Hassocks. Winter training takes place on Thursday evenings between 7.30pm and 9pm on the all weather, floodlit, 3G pitches at the Brighton Rugby Club Waterhall which must be the Premier facilities in the area.
Pre season and summer training takes place on Wednesday evenings on grass at Clayton very close to our home ground. These venues have been specifically chosen for being central and their position close to the A23 and A27 enables players from Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Eastbourne, Lewes, Crawley, Horley, Littlehampton, Redhill and the local areas of Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Lindfield to be part of this forward thinking and progressive Ladies Club.
We also have attracted players from Germany, Italy, Canada, Sweden,France and Portugal.
Hassocks Ladies FC are the only Premier Division team in Mid Sussex and for quite some way around and one of the very few teams at this level who train during the season in Brighton and Hove.
We welcome new players at any stage of the season. Having rebuilt the side at the beginning of the 2007/08 we are proud of the loyalty and commitment of our players and we have pledged to and can demonstrate year on year progress and development. There is a superb team spirit at the club and new players will quickly be made to feel welcome and encouraged to join in with the social activities as well as the playing side. The emphasis is on taking football seriously but to get enjoyment from the game.
The Club must be one of the most well run teams with a dedicated management team and a young manager that is not afraid to involve his players in taking training or in seeking their opinions. The club is run for the enjoyment of the players and it is vital that everyone is happy and feels they are part of everything that happens.
Hassocks never try and force or put pressure on a player to sign for the club, it is up to the player to see just how good the club is before they decide. So take up our offer to train with us for 3 weeks free of charge to see whether Hassocks can offer more than you are used to.
