Club News and Events for June/July 2007
A highly successful Club Charter Anniversary and Handover was held at Barnsgate Manor Country Club & Restaurant, Herons Ghyll, on Sunday 01 July. This event had the twin objectives of celebrating the club's 45th Anniversary and, at the same time, witnessed the annual changeover of club offiers. Club President for the year 2007/2008 is Lion David Swain. Outgoing President Bryan Barnes was warmly thanked for a very successful year with new members joing the club during the year and many charitable and social events taking place apart from the traditional ones well established over the 45 years of the club's existance.

A Tea party for visiting children from Chernobyl held in the gardens of member Lion Ian Henderson and his wife, Sue
The 2007 Swimaration Awards presentation is scheduled for 05 July at HH Town Hall

"It's a Knockout" games for handicapped people held at the new K2 Leisure Centre Crawley recently took place in June Various club members were able to attend to 'lend a hand' on the day The Annual Shoe Box Appeal to local schools - Arrangements are now well in hand to provide a 'bumper' gift lorry destined for Belaus later in the year. An invitation to Twinned club, Lyon Ouest, (France) to visit the Haywards Heath Club later in the year. Plans are being developed to provide a very happy and friendly occasion.
