New Wadhurst Residents Association
 New Wadhurst Residents Association
The NWRA was set up several years ago, originally as Wadhurst Residents Association, to work alongside the Wealden District Council tenants and residents.
Since then the NWRA has expanded to cover most of the Social housing estates here in Wadhurst. These are : Bankside, Bayham Court, Courthope Avenue, Holmsdale Close, Queens Cottages, Snape View ( inc Fazan Court ) & Watts Close. Today these roads / areas are made up of Council & Private Housing, and range from 2 & 3 bedroom houses to 1 & 2 bedroom flats, most have gardens.
The NWRA is here for ALL tenants and residents, whether Council or Private, who live in these areas.
In joining the NWRA all we ask is that a representative or two are put foward from the new road wishing to join the NWRA, who can speak for that road's Community. This helps the NWRA workload and enables more people to be involved with their Community and hopefully gives a wider input into our achievements overall. When it comes to our newsletters these can then be distributed by each road's representative. Any problems that arise in housing or environment can also be brought to our attention by that road's representative.
We ask many different officials along to our meetings, these can be our local Sussex Police Officers - either our PCSO Matt Neve or our PC Kelly Simmonds or both, a housing officer or estates warden from Wealden District Council, or representatives from East Sussex County Council, all depending on what type of issues we are trying to solve for this Community.
Look foward to expanding this new website with our minutes and other achievements in the future, and adding various links to our other Community Organisations we have here in Wadhurst.

Wealden District Council - Residents Involvement
Wealden District Council - Residents Involvement.
Wealden wants to involve as many residents as possible in what happens in their area. To that end it is our aim in Wealden to encourage and facilitate opportunities for every tenant to become involved in the decision making process to the degree and level they choose. We have two Residents Compacts, one for Sheltered Tenants (pdf, 133kb) and one for General Needs (pdf, 139kb) that show how we engage with our tenants.
If you would like to influence what goes into your tenant magazine, Threshold, or how it is presented please get in touch with your Tenant Involvement Team. View previous issues of Threshold.
We also distribute a Wealden Residents Action Group newsletter called Community News. View previous issues of Community News.
Tenant Services Authority
The Tenant Services Authority was set up as a result of the 2008 Housing and Regeneration Act. The Act increases the TSA’s powers over the regulation of social housing. Their goal is to raise the standards of services for affordable housing tenants. Visit their website their website to find out how they’re going to make this happen, and when. Want to get more involved?
We are constantly looking for new ways for tenants to become involved and quite often we need different groups of tenants or individuals to look at specific areas of housing management. If you think you might like to get involved in the first instance contact :
