CAN ANYONE HELP?
We are currently engaged in raising funds to pay for the installation of a "disabled" toilet at the hall. This involves re-siting and updating of the existing facilities as well.This project will cost in the region of £18,000 with a further sum needed to re-decorate the Foyer after all the work has been completed. The committee and a number of the regular Hall Users have already raised nearly £11,000 but it has been a slow process. More Fund raising events are planned, a "BEETLE DRIVE" in September for one! We have aked the Parish Council for help and are awaiting their reply. We are in the process of applying for a lottery grant. We applied to two other grant making trusts but sadly we were turned down.We have found that money seems rarely available for Village Halls simply wanting to improve or upgrade their facilities. Can you prove us wrong? - Is there anyone out there who knows where we can obtain financial help or is there anyone who would like to make a donation? failing that does anyone have any ideas for a really good fund raising event?
