Sussex Phil Welcomes New Members

The Sussex Phil Chamber Choir has around 30 members, but always welcomes new voices - especially sopranos and tenors.We are conducted by James Lloyd Thomas and accompanied byTim Nail. We meet during school term times on Monday evenings from 7.45 to 9.45 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Dyke Road, Brighton (bus route 27/27A). Rehearsals resume on 11th January 2010. There is no formal audition for the choir, but you do need to be familiar with musical notation, and to be able to commit yourself to regular weekly rehearsals. Come along and give us a try! There is a termly subscription of £45 (£35 for unwaged and £20 for students). Sometimes we sing unaccompanied music, but often we put on concerts in conjunction with professional soloists and orchestral musicians. Each Christmas we provide a carol concert for clients of the Grace Eyre Foundation – an organisation that supports and assists people with learning disabilities.
