Only Boiling Milk Kills MAP Bacteria In Pasteurised Milk.

After the legal meeting yesterday 17/02/2005, it has been revealed that heating Pasteurised Milk to over 90 degrees still does not kill the MAP Bacteria, it just stuns it. This Campaign along with Professor John Hermon-Taylor has always advised Boiling your Milk to kill the MAP Bacteria.(The Cause of Crohns Disease ).

The Dairy Industry & Government have known this for a long time, but not acted to advise the population of the UK the dangers that anyone risks by drinking unboiled Pasteurised Milk. This I find extremely alarming that no health warnings are placed on containers of Milk, advising the public of the risks, especially in developing Crohns Disease, and other IBD illnesses. The Dairy Industry is worried about the costs and the flavour of milk, to do anything. The Government will only agree with those that do not find a problem with Pasteurised Milk.

The Bovine Sugars also get altered when the Pasteurised Milk is boiled, most would argue that Bovine Sugars are no good to Human Beings anyway, they only lead to ill health.

This Campaign will keep up the fight to bring this awareness to the populations of the UK and the rest of the World.

It is a FACT that there is very little Crohns Disease in a Country such as India, WHY ? Because they BOIL their Milk & Water, before human consumption. Boil Your Drinking Water And Cook Your Meats Well.

Please also take this advice to protect your digestive tract and bowel from any further infestation of MAP Bacteria.
Boil your drinking water, and do not trust bottled water unless you know it has been boiled. Cook your meats well, do not eat rare cooked meats. MAP Bacteria can travel in both these products as well as Dairy Products that are not treated to boiling temperature in production.

I hope this advice is of help to you all.

There is also the FACT now that MAP Bacteria is starting to affect Rabbit and Deer Populations (Johne's Disease in Animals ) here in the UK. As Rabbits and some Deer are free roaming there is the possibility to infect Dairy Cattle who were previously MAP free.

This problem is far worse in the USA where it affects primates, bison and several other species. Getting the American Government to do anything is extremely difficult, as there are huge farming controlling lobbies.

This problem is a numbers game to those in power, like most things in life, money, unfortunately controls the world, NOT common sense. It is not until one of those in power has a problem with their health, do things get looked at again. There will be in time, if not already, a very major problem with World Health, all the time these problems are ignored for GREED.

Capitalism under the FLAG of Democracy is as destructive a force as Communism was claimed to be. The World needs a system somewhere between the two evils, most political parties tend to be on the extremes, there for their own greed. Perhaps one day, if the World survives the lunacy, there will be a system that is fair to all, and common sense prevails, before money and greed.

The Middle Cow Featured Here Has MAP

The Cow featured here in the middle of this picture of 3 cows, is the one now suffering with MAP - Mycobacterium avium sub species Paratuberculosis, KNOWN as Johne's Disease in animals, Crohns Disease in Human Beings.

It is looking gaunt compared to the other two......It's faeces will spread MAP to the other two cows in a short time. It will also contaminate the pasture and water supplies, where MAP survives a year on it's own. It's milk will also carry MAP, and survive pasteurisation of 72 degrees for 25 seconds, the temperature & time that all pasteurised milk is only treated to & all temperatures under boiling.

Researchers Link Cow's Milk To Crohn's Disease

Researchers claim to have found a link between bacteria in cow's milk and Crohn's disease. But it appears Ottawa is doing little to ensure milk safety.

Close to 100,000 Canadians suffer from Crohn's disease, a debilitating condition that causes inflammation of the bowels. Its symptoms include severe weight loss and pain.

A growing number of scientists believe that Crohn's disease is caused by a bacteria found in dairy cattle that may be transmitted to humans through milk.

At one of Britain's largest hospitals, chief surgeon Dr. John Hermon Taylor, says Crohn's is caused by M.A.P., short for myco bacterium paratuberculosis, which is also called Johne's disease.

According to Taylor, the disease is being transferred through milk from infected cows to humans.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has been monitoring Johne's disease for years. In its most recent study, obtained by CTV News, the number of infected dairy herds had risen.

In Ontario, over 47 per cent of herds had at least one animal test positive for Johne's disease. And in the Maritimes, the numbers were worse: over 51 per cent of herds in P.E.I. had the disease, 62 per cent in New Brunswick, 72 per cent in Nova Scotia.

The government admits its testing is flawed.

"If you had 10 animals infected and you applied the test, you might expect to pick out four of them, the other six would walk away and you wouldn't know they were infected," says Dr. John Kellar of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Canada's dairy industry -- which has has some of the toughest standards in the world -- dismisses the claims.

"In fact the methods used in the dairy industry are so good that there has never been a sample of Canadian milk that has shown to have this bacteria in it," says Helen Bishop-MacDonald of the Canadian Milk Producers Association.

The problem is, according to Canadian Food Inspection Agency, its test to determine the presence of Johne's disease in milk which isn't very accurate.

"Governments are reluctant to recognize there is a problem. They need a new professor with a new problem, like a hole in the head," says Dr. Taylor.

CTV News requested information from Health Canada on studies the department has done linking Crohn's and Johne's. So far, there has been no reply.

But sources inside Health Canada tell CTV News it's never been studied. The only study in Canada is being done by a private lab, hired by the Dairy Industry.
