On The 25TH May 2004 Prof John Hermon Taylor gives a presentation to the huge ASM - American Society of Microbiology Symposium in New Orleans, " It Is the Speech Of His Life " he says.

The Gastroenterologists have had their presentations but will not be talking about MAP Bacteria and it's linkage to Crohns Disease. The reason being is they are being spoon fed by the large drug companies, who make vast fortunes from all their Immunosuppressants. The Microbiologists who have cottoned on to the MAP Bacteria link have asked for presentations of the facts from Prof John Hermon Taylor and others.

There is an American called Dr Jay Ellingson from the Marshfield Clinic - Wisconson who has mirrored all Prof John Hermon Taylor's work, testing random milk samples and people with Crohns. The National Academy of Sciences is involved but the operation becomes "covert" at this stage as it is apparently clear the U.S dept of Agriculture is uneasy. Is this really possible hundreds of thousands of people with Crohns ,some with totally ruined lives, and yet responsible National Bodies are all watching their backs ?????????

Are we becoming Paranoid , or is this the Truth finally filtering through. Watch for the " Tidal Wave " as after the 25 MAY 2004 , I am sure you will see it coming to the UK.

Here in the UK , the University of East Anglia is co - ordinating a study, funded by DEFRA which is based on 270 Crohns patients in 5 different areas of this Country - Liverpool, Leicester, Sheffield, Bristol and Norwich.

Questions to be asked : -

Where you lived for more than 3 months including college and work.
Countries where you spent more than 7 days.
Holidays spent on Farms and when were you in contact with farm animals.
What do you eat and drink.
Study will take 18 months
Explanation sheet with this study is dated July 2003.

Further Update .There is a "Gag Order" of sorts in place on this study at Marshfied Clinic - Wisconsin - USA, but it is only a matter of time before the Truth will out, filtered into the NAS journal.

This Knowledge of the MAP & Crohns / Johnes Diseases Link, Must Now Reach The Public Domain. People in this Country and Across the World have had to Suffer this Horrific Illness, Partly in Silence, Mostly in Agony, it is Now Time Everyone was Told the Truth, and all the Crohns Sufferers were Given a Better Quality of Life, and Hopefully a Cure, and Put a Stop to Anymore People Having to Suffer this Horrific, Agonising Illness.

With the Rising Number of Children being Diagnosed with this Illness, Especially under 5 years of age, Whose Lives have just Started, What Right has Anybody or Any National Body got a Right to Suppress the Truth. It is Time the Dairy Industry Faced up to It's Problem, and Those who have "MILKED" the Farmers of money All these years , now Pay for the Clear Up & Clean Up. Also sort out the Pasteurisation Temperature which is clearly Not killing the MAP Bacteria which Leads to Crohns. Lancet Report on Emerging Pathogens:MAP /Crohns /Johnes Diseases

The Lancet released it's findings on the problem of Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis - zoonotic (MAP) last week 02/08/2004. Opening paragraph points to the DEFRA paper that this Crohns Campaign has been involved with in 2002 and 2004. This document was due to be released to the farming community @ the end of June, it is now promised to be released @ the end of August. Copies of this Lancet report have been sent to every NACC "chair" in this Country by this Crohns Campaign, all would have now been received this week - 09/08/2004.

" Recent advances in diagnostic address the historical scepticism about MAP causing Crohns Disease. The NOD2 genetic defect, which is associated with Crohns Disease, predisposes to intracellular bacterial infection .

In patients with Crohns Disease, MAP DNA has been detected by PCR in up to 90% of cases, by in-situ hybridisation in 70% of cases, and by RT-PCR for MAP RNA in 100% of cases. MAP has also been cultured from human milk, faeces, intestinal tissue, and peripheral blood of patients with Crohns Disease. Additionally, MAP specific serological tests are positive significantly more often in Crohns Disease patients than in controls."

" With the final DEFRA guidelines, the UK Government and Dairy Industry will take an essential 1st to combat Johne's Disease. Widespread implementation of the guidelines will improve animal health and welfare , and profitability in farms. It might additionally benefit Food Safety and Human Health."

This Crohns Campaign is determined to keep up the pressure to the UK Government to make sure these DEFRA Guidelines are carried out, and the Dairy Industry finally take responsibility for it's mess, and also to turn up the pasteurisation temperature to 90 + degrees which is the known temperature that kills the MAP bacteria. This is the last line of defence before the milk is available to the consumer, making sure the MAP bacteria is dead and we can, if we wish, drink milk without getting Crohns Disease.

More and more dairy herds are becoming infected with MAP , and the increase in Crohns victims has also risen, especially amongst our children, who are encouraged to drink more milk for better health and nutrition at school and in advertising. Also you pregnant mums who read this, you and your unborn child are also at risk, until things are changed. Water supplies will still become contaminated with MAP, as will the Environment, and many other animals, such as deer , sheep and goats.

There is to be more positive research coming in from Australia and America shortly, backing these findings. More supportive findings are to come from a leading scientist releasing his papers in Phoenix - Arizona, U.S.A.

It is important now that the Public here in the UK are told the truth about a problem with another food (milk), as we all know what happened with the BSE/CJD scandal, and in my opinion this Crohn / Johnes / MAP problem is far worse and far bigger, and if left unchecked will eventually play a devastating effect on many many more of the population of this Country and all those European Countries and America. I know the figures run to many millions across Europe and here it is far in excess of 250.000+ .

Following my guest appearance on the Bill Buckley Show -Tea @ Three today at 3.15pm , where we discussed the Lancet Paper, The Defra Document which is to be released at the end of August, the Truth behind the Crohns / MAP - M.PARA.TB / Johnes Disease / Connection , and How it is passed to Humans - " Zoonotic ". through Pasteurised Milk, Tap Water and some Meats ( from infected cattle ).

We discussed how Crohns affected my wife's health, and how this led to me to Campaign for the last 8 years. Also how we used two alternatives to bring my wife back to better health, these being Aloe Vera and The Glyconutrient Powder and a third Natural Strong Antibiotic called Bee Propolis, made by the honey bee.

Since returning from the BBC Studio my phone has not stopped ringing, so if you are trying to get through I apologise. It takes about an hour with each person,(see update below) to explain the Environmental problem that has caused their illness, and where they can go from here, and answering their enquires on a very personal level. There are many people who phone me on behalf of another relative as well, or a friend who has contracted this illness - Crohns or another IBD or IBS. These are illnesses that totally destoy the sufferer and sometimes the family around that sufferer. This Campaign is here to help all those suffering, those also suffering in silence because of the embarassing nature that this illness and what it inflicts on a human body, which often many people cannot see or even understand the problems the sufferers are going through.

The Research is now in from Dr Jay Ellingson from Winconsin USA, and this evidence and research supports all that has been said by our Prof John Hermon Taylor @ St Georges Hospital in London. With all that the Lancet now states, and what I know to be in the DEFRA Document, and all the other supporting evidence from other leading scientists around the world, IT IS REALLY GOOD NEWS FOR CROHNS and OTHER IBD SUFFERERS, it means that the research that has been done by our Prof JHT will now change the way MAP is now looked on by all those doubters in the medical profession. It will not change those in the Dairy Industry , because they knew all along, especially the connection with Johnes Disease. PARA (www.crohns.org) have just done a press release on this research.

The fools that the Dairy Industry are, leaving this problem, hoping it would go away, will unfortunately cost the life of cattle, but it will cost the Industry dearly. The Johnes Disease has and will cost the Industry money, poor milk production and in the longer term even more money.

The real anger that is caused to me and sufferers of Crohns & IBDS is how long this problem has been left and how many people are having to suffer because of doing nothing ,for atleast the 15 years that I know, and I have been Campaigning to Government for 8 years knowing as our Prof JHT the obvious connection between MAP / Crohns / Johnes Disease, through Pasteurised Milk, Dairy Products, Tap Water, and Infected meat from Cattle. How this MAP Bacteria infects the Environment everyday through cattle faeces, where it is alive , and survives a year in every daily dropping of faeces. How it spreads to other animals , those fresh stocks that are put on the contaminated pastures.

Dr Thomas Borody From Australia, Visits New York.

Crohn's Disease - Professor Thomas Borody Of Australia Comes To New York To Discuss Significant New Findings.

Professor Tom Borody of Sydney, Australia will present the results of over 20 years of research into an effective treatment for Crohn's Disease. He will deliver data from a clinical study of 213 patients in Australia along with the responses to treatment of over 50 of Prof. Borody's own patients, to his anti-mycobacteria therapy research.

According to Prof. Borody's report, as many as 95% of his patients have responded to treatment with full remission achieved by 65% of these patients. Dr. Borody says,
" These results exceed all documented evidence of response to Crohn's Disease therapies and promise significant relief for a large number of the estimated one million Crohn's patients around the world."

Dr. Borody MD PhD FRACP, a graduate of the University of New South Wales, from which he holds a doctorate in medicine, will be presenting his findings in an open forum at : -

As the founder and current Medical Director of the Centre for Digestive Diseases (CDD), Dr. Borody has created a unique medical institution, internationally regarded for it's novel approaches in research, diagnosis and the treatment of gastrointestinal conditions. He has been a recipient of the Winthrop Traveling Fellowship, the Neil Hamilton Fairly Fellowship and the Marshall & Warren Prize, and was a Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester in 1983. He is a member of the Australian Medical Association, the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, the European Gastroenterology Society, the Functional Brain-Gut Research Group and Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.

Prof. Borody supervises a number of major research programs as well as being involved as a reviewer for the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Digestive Diseases and Sciences, Endoscopy, Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Medical Journal of Australia and Digestive and Liver Diseases. He has published in excess of 120 scientific papers. In 2004 he was appointed an Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology, Sydney.
