Announcing a NEW Support Group for Parents of Children & Teenagers / Young Adults with Crohns.

I am setting this group up as somewhere for parents with children who suffer from Crohns as I have a daughter who was diagnosed with it at the age of 9 (July 2008). At the time of the diagnosis, I looked around for some support, basically just to chat to other parents who had been in the same situation and try to come to terms with what had happened...but couldnt find anything. Also this group is set up to help teenagers/young adults who have this disease and want to air their views. ***This does not mean that older people (25+) cannot join in***

Crohns disease is often seen as embarrassing for children/teenagers/young adults in that it deals with parts of the body and bodily functions that most people would rather not talk about ie BUMS and POO... but until we break barriers, just like what happened with breast cancer and testicular cancer then it will never be talked about and that cant be a good thing...so come on guys lets show some support for each other as well as raising awareness about this terrible disease.
