Notice Board
This page carries many of the notices which are posted in the Boathouse BUT it should not be regarded as a substitute for the Boathouse Notice Board. Members are advised to check notices in the Boathouse on a regular basis.
***************************** Our web site address
Whilst I am sure that you share my gratitude to Communigate for hosting our web site free of charge as a community facility the site address is a bit difficult to remember particularly if you are telling someone what it is. So, I have arranged a "link" which will access the site using the alternative, and more easily remembered, address www.bidefordarc.co.uk The Communigate address is still just as valid and you will also see that it continues to appear at the head of each web page.

BARC Water Safety Plan An updated (December 2006) Club Water Safety Plan has been posted in the Boathouse and on the Code of Conduct and Safety page on this site. This document runs alongside the ARA Water Safety Code and must be adhered to at all times.
BARC Code of Practice A Club Code of practice covering rowing activities at the club has been published. A copy is posted in the Boathouse and on the Code of Conduct and Safety page on this site.
Yellow Lines on the Boathouse floor A central "corridor" is defined on the boathouse floor between the boats by means of two yellow lines.
They are there for a serious purpose - namely health and safety. This defined corridor between the yellow lines should be kept clear at all times.
Water and Electricity Costs Seemingly ever increasing bills for water and electricity.
Every drop of water that we use is measured by a meter and charged for. When washing boats please make sure that the hose is not left running "just waiting to be used". Similarly with electricity - each time a light is switched on the meter clocks up more cost. So before turning on a light ask yourself if is it really needed..... and if you are the last out of a room please switch off the lights. |
