OUR PROJECT
Buckler’s Mead Pre-School’s current building is coming to the end of its life span and we are raising funds to replace the building. The school doesn’t want to see us a go (we provide work experience and the school complete project work for the pre-school) and a new site has been found within the grounds to accommodate a slightly larger building for the pre-school. The new building will provide us with greater space and the possibility of more children being accommodated (we are currently restricted to 15 children a session due to the size of the current building). We provide quality pre-school education.
With a new, larger building we will be able to provide better wheelchair and pushchair access. The children at the pre-school will benefit from the extra space to play and learn and our continued presence on the school site will allow the school to use us for work experience, etc. We would also look to provide wrap around care to enable parents to return to work or further education. We’d consider “lunch club” which would mean changing our registration with Ofsted from sessional care to full day care.
