what we do

We undertake the care and rehoming of stray, abandoned and Unwanted cats in our area. We help cats and kittens in the Yeovil area which includes: Ilchester, Somerton, langport, Chard, Crewkerne, ilminster, Martock, South petherton, Stoke-sub-hamdon and many other villages. We rehome over 240 cats and kittens each year. Neuter and spay many cats and kittens, assist with the neutering Of farm and feral cats. Offer help and assistance to families on low incomes or who receive Benefits to neuter or spay their cat/kitten. Provide information and leaflets/booklets on all aspects of cat care Free of charge. All cats that come into our care stay with us until we can find them A new home, Our policy is that we never put to sleep a healthy cat. The only time when we allow a cat in our care to be put to sleep Is when it is in the best interest of the cats/kittens welfare and Only on the advice of a qualified veterinary surgeon. We also offer a service to the community whereby interested Groups such as schools, W.I., and other groups can ask us to Supply a speaker to come along to their meetings and talk to Them about the work we do, the care and welfare of cats and The long term aims of our branch.
