CitySocialising originated in London in January 2005 with start-up funding from The Prince’s Trust, created to help young professional newcomers to London integrate more easily into life in the Capital by guiding them round the city’s social scene and attractions and connecting them with like minded others in order for them to create new networks of friends for life in London.
Now over 40% of our 6000+ members there are seasoned London professionals seeking to kick start their social lives, expand their existing circle of friends beyond their usual social/work crowd and to make the most of London’s vibrant social scene.
Our success at connecting new friends for life in London, the positive impact of the service on the lives of our members there and numerous requests from other cities are just some of the reasons we've now launched in Bristol & Bath!
Our research showed an increased desire amongst young professionals across the UK, particularly within the 20s and 30s age groups, to expand their social networks in a relaxed, natural and stress-free way, and identified the following main reasons:
1. More people relocating to other cities for work or with partners leaving existing friends and family behind.
2. Once existing friends start settling in relationships or moving away meeting new friends to go out and socialise with becomes more important.
3. Meeting new and interesting people and forging new friendships outside the office or usual social crowd appeals as existing social lives/circles become stale.
4. Too much time being spent at work and lack of inside information creates less time and limits you from choosing and organising the social life that suits you.
Therefore, we created CitySocialising to guide our members round the city's social scene and attractions and connect them with like minded others into the idea of meeting and socialising platonically with new people and making new friends in Bristol & Bath.
Our Bristol & Bath service combines a unique online and offline approach to meeting, connecting and socialising platonically with new friends and we currently organise lots of Bristol social events and activities (‘Socials’) here each month with many more meet-ups being organised by our members.
It's FREE to become a member.
