Friends' Update
The highlight of our winter programme was the successful "HOLD IT " exhibition when we displayed 500 items loaned by 20 members of the public and 30 members of the Friends. The amazing variety of containers was viewed over one week by 234 visitors including the children who attended the "BOX IT" Activity session. Another success story was the transformation of the Exhibition Room in December into a VICTORIAN NURSERY to be viewed through the window by passers-by. Unlike in 2005, we were not awarded the Best Window Shield by the Chamber of Trade but the window did attract a lot of attention. A first for the Friends was the WINTER SERIES OF TALKS AND TEAS held in the Leslie Andrew Room. This series of talks was a popular new venture which will be repeated next year. |
