2nd May 2002

To date there have been 271 visits to the first page.
22 people have voted on some possible options the Trustees could consider.

27 people have said "Yes please. I would like a CD"

But only ONE person has signed the guestbook.

We are under extreme pressure at the moment, trying to assemble marshalls, acquire 30 'Road Closed' Signs, make sure the Band arrives on time, plus look after our own Church/Sunday School requirements for buns, ALL for the Annual Whitsun Procession of Witness which takes place this year on 19th May. (If anyone can help, please email paywoman@blueyonder.co.uk)

In the week leading up to that we have Christian Aid Week Collections as well.

When we quieten down, at the end of the month, we hope to start the transcribing and indexing of the Registers. Once that is done, CD compilation will be a doddle.

Thank you everyone who has offered support and encouragement.

5th May

Thank you to those who have promised support.

Thank you to those volunteers who turned up yesterday to assist with the continuing "clear up".

I was advised today that about 11 people were there, and a good bit of work was done.

Another two weeks, and the Whit March will be over. Then I hope to get along with my digicam and start taking some pictures. I will post one or two on this site.

If anyone reading this knows where I can get hold of some "Road Closed" signs, for the Whit March, I would be very grateful. I can be contacted on payman@blueyonder.co.uk

22nd May

I promised an update after our trials and tribulations with the Annual Whitsunday Procession of Witness.
Here it is.
Maintenance at the Cemetery continues on a regular basis, and extra help is especially requested for the first Saturday of each month.
The Trustees are scheduled to hold their next meeting very shortly and we trust that they will then give us the go-ahead for the transcribing of the records.
