OPEN DAY - Saturday 31st August

A dull morning became very dark and forbidding as noon approached. Tables were set up with the Registers, the plan and the partial Index.
By about 12.30 it looked as though we would definitely have rain - but by 1.30 the sun was shining and it stayed that way for the rest of the afternoon.
A good number of visitors turned up, including Steve Chapman from Dorset.
Comments regarding the improved appearance of the Cemetery Grounds were much appreciated.

A number of visitors were pleased to be able to find graves which had been buried under grass and weeds last time they visited.

Look ups and, with judicious use of the plan, locating of grave plots were undertaken and we were pleased to be able to hand £59 to the Treasurer as a result of contributions received on the day.
If anyone wishes to contribute to the funds, you can send to:

The Treasurer,
Frome Dissenters Cemetery
100 Oakfield Road
FROME
Somerset

Cheques etc. Payable to: Frome Dissenters Cemetery.

The trustees would like to express TWO special thank yous. They would like to do it personally, but do not know to whom thanks are due. These Thanks are to "The Painter" who very kindly painted the fence. Also to "The Strimmer" who has done a lot of work, especially down the left hand side. Whoever you are, both of you "THANK YOU".

SERVICE -1st September

3.00 PM - Eleven people present for a short service, thinking about "Sacrifice". Appropriately, the Service was held beside the Family Grave commemorating Brothers and Sisters of and Pte Stanley COX who died, age 20 in 1918 in France. Dissapointing that more were not present, but, to my mind, very uplifting.
