Will Madrid be a richer city for having the Beckhams in residence?
Yes, of course, they are fine people
No way, they are pondlife
Could I care less?
Far richer than if Alex Ferguson were moving there
Why does David like tictacs?
Yes but the move will seriously hamper Victoria's singing career
They might as well sign Celine Dion for all I care

HISTORY, FIXTURES & OTHER INFO

This is the second best photo we've got. In July 2002 we won the Dartmouth Ladies 5-a-side competition for the second year running.
Pictured is the team with manager Barry Hayward. Geno is team captain and can be seen sensibly wearing a hat on such a hot day. Nikki, dressed in black and at the back of this photo, is club secretary. Also in the photo are Claire, Jo, Lee and Liz.
If you're interested in joining this band contact Barry on 07768 694312.

BRIEF HISTORY
We started as Paignton Town in 2000-01, after nine players defected to Totnes from Stoke Gabriel FC at the end of the 1999/2000 season. Barry had started pre-season training before he found out he'd lost most of his team, and the new players who showed up were keen to play on - so we did.
Foxhole United kindly let us use their pitch but it didn't work out & we spent the rest of the season blagging pitches where we could. The following season we officially joined our fortunes to Galmpton United.
We play in the lower division of the Westward Developments Devon Women's Football League, staging our home games at Galmpton United's Greenway Lane ground. Although our 11-a-side team hasn't won anything yet, our 5-a-side team won the Dartmouth 5s in 2001, 2002 & 2003. Our quiz team (operating in a pub but someone's gotta do it) won several meals for winning the general knowledge and music quizzes last season too.
In 2003 we were promoted to the Premier Division of the Devon League after finishing third in Division One. Of the players that got us there, three have moved on to other teams and one has retired hurt. Their loss. Over the summer we have welcomed four new players, and it looks like another two might take the plunge. All of them look like team players, and overall I think we're better off. In addition Guv'nor Barry Hayward has added Gary Turney to the management team. Barry & Gary, huh?

WHERE ARE WE?
If you want to find us, take the road towards Brixham from Paignton. Immediately after you pass Churston Golf Club on your left, turn off the main road into Greenway Lane. Churston Grammar School is then on your left, and the hedge to your right marks the boundary to the ground. Park on the road, or turn into the gateway opposite the school entrance.

GUV'NOR, WE CAN'T SHOUT ... WE MIGHT WAKE THE MASCOT

Seven days' notice of approach has gone into Teletubbies FC, and we are eagerly waiting for our mascot's registration to come through.

Adam, though, couldn't give a monkey's.

He's fast asleep during a recent match and, guv'nor, that's why none of us shout or talk to each other on the pitch. We just don't want to wake him up.
