The Branch
We are one of many fundraising branches around the country that give talks and sell catalogue goods for the main Charity Hearing Dogs For Deaf Poeple.
Our aim is to heighten the awareness of the public to the Charity and its need for funds. There is no Government backing. The Charity train dogs to assist deaf people in their homes and at work. The dogs respond to sounds in the home and alert their owner by going to them, touching them and then leading them to the source of the noise. They are trained to respond to: alarmclocks, kitchen timers, telephones, doorbells and many other everyday sounds. The only time they do not lead their owner to the sound is when the FIRE ALARM goes off. In that instance they touch their owner and go flat.

TALKS AND SALES
We give talks and show a 10 minute video about the Charity and its work. If you are interested please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a date and time. We have a small table of sales goods, from the Charity's catalogue, that we can bring with us. All proceeds got to the Charity, all we ask for is minimal travelling costs and a small donation. |
