Networking basics

If you have more than one computer you will almost certainly wish to network them together so that you can share broadband and files.

Windows allows you to network relatively easily - especially if you have the same operating system on all computers. If you have different operating systems then you will still be able to do it but may find you have to 'tweak' the settings to suit your environment.

The most basic points are that you must decide whether you will create a wired or wireless network. Wireless is a very cost effective option these days.
