THE GRAND ORDER OF WATER RATS GALA DINNER
 | The RAFA (SW) Concert Band have been asked annually to provide music for the Grand Order of Water Rats Gala Dinner & Variety Show. On the last Gala Dinner Pete Skellon our Musical Director asked the Guest of Honour if he would like to conduct the Band. Sir Norman Wisdom accepted the offer and asked what the band would be playing when he found out it was 'Don't laugh at Me' he said he would rather sing than conduct!
A standing ovation and shouts of encore from all present followed with Sir Norman and the band obliging the celebrity audiences wishes.

 | | The day begins with a coach ride from Weston-Super-Mare down to Dunster Show. The Band performs two outdoor Concerts, and hopefully we have sunshine that day. |

RAFA Concert Shirley Solihull
 | | After a long coach journey due to heavy traffic we arrived at the Methodist Church Shirley Solihull.We received a wonderful welcome and a buffet tea for the band.The Concert was a sell out, the Band were well received and the programme was enjoyed by all. |
