Back in the late 1960's a green belt in Wado Ryu karate opened Cornwall's first ever karate club. One of his first students, Robin Whale, is now Chief Instructor of the Sandokai Karate Association. Based in Cornwall, with an understanding of some of the peculiarities of Cornish life, Sandokai has produced many top quality black belts who have excelled in competition/sport karate, refereeing and judging at a national level, karate instruction to both children and adults, and knowledge of health and fitness related matters.
