REHEARSALS
will be held on Wednesdays from September
at Mount House School, Tavistock, from 6.00pm.

Stannary Youth Band would be particularly pleased to hear from any young baritone, tuba and trombone players. Playing in the band will give you the opportunity to make new friends, to have fun, to play music of all varieties and to learn how a brass band works "as a team".
6 members of Stannary Youth Band now play with Devon County Youth Band. Rehearsals take place in Exeter.

Admission to the Stannary Youth Band is through an informal audition. If you are under 19 years old and would like to join please contact John Northey on 01822 612675 for more information.

Chagford Concert 2007.

Members of Stannary Brass Youth Band performed at a concert at Chagford's Jubilee Hall on Saturday 31st March, paying tribute to the late Peter Hill, former mayor of West Devon. The Band paid tribute to the support and encouragement of Mr. Hill who named the Youth Band his chosen charity while in office.

Mrs. Gay Hill organised the concert, which included supper. During the evening she presented two members with their Grade 8 music certificates.

On behalf of the Stannary Brass Band, Mr. Peter Jones, the Musical Director, thanked Mrs. Hill. He explained that members of the Youth Band attended rehearsals in Tavistock from a large area, which included Chagford.
