Mollie's Diary

One of our younger members, Mollie Crossfield, 7, who is the grandaughter of our Vice Chairperson, Trudi Duncan, attended the City of Manchester Stadium for the first time to watch the game against Fulham on Saturday 18th November 2006.
Armed with her camera and notepad, Mollie captured a few images for prosterity and has kindly agreed to share these for the website along with some notes from her diary.
With a lunchtime kick off it meant a 6.30 start from Plymouth but despite this Trudi looks cheerful as the day breaks in the background somewhere on the M5.

We've Arrived!

Really getting excited now. Just need to cross the road and we'll be there!

The Greatest Stadium

Having made a swift visit to the City Store Trudi and Mollie are pictured outside the entrance to the East Stand of the City of Manchester Stadium. As Mollie says "home of the best team in the land, in all the world!"

The Other Boys in Blue

Mollie felt very safe knowing these particular Boys in Blue were looking after us.

Mary D's

With the all important shopping completed there was just enough time to visit the Supporter's Club Bar at Mary D's where Molly caught up with all the news with Rob Levy and Steve Wherly.

Still at Mary D's

While everyone else enjoyed a cold beer, Mollie and Andy got drunk on coke!

Inside the Gound

Mollie giggling a lot and having a great day.

The Maine Event

What we all came for. The game's going great "The greatest game I have ever seen" as Joey Barton's corner puts the Fulham defence under further pressure during the second half.

Back in Mary D's

While the traffic subsided it was back to Mary D's where Mollie was either getting drunk or applying for a job as a barmaid!

No time to waste

When you have a diary to write, it is important to get everything down as soon as possible and Mollie wastes no time on the journey down south.

Celebrity Motor

When we stopped for something to eat and fuel at the services what should pull up besides us but the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard. Unfortunately, for Andy, Daisy Duke was nowhere to be seen!

A Long Day

All the excitement of a great day took it's toll as Mollie fell asleep on the way home.

Thank you for sharing your day with us, Mollie. Here's to the next time.
