The Taunton Group of Advanced Motorists (TGAM) is aiming to maintain it's progress to help local road safety for another 25 years, especially after 2006 was the 25th Anniversary Year for the Group (TGAM) and the 50th Anniversary Year for the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM)

Jan 2007 - IAM Motoring Trust
The AA Motoring Trust, after 5 years of funding from the AA (Automobile Association), has combined with the IAM, who are now, funding a further 5 years, to form the new IAM Motoring Trust, which is an independent road safety organisation that will be the research and advocacy arm of the IAM. The aim of the Trust is to protect and promote the interests of all road users.

Another Taunton Group Associate passes his Advanced Driving Test and that makes a total of 20 Associates having passed their test under the observation and guidance given by Colin White, one of our Senior Observers. Well done Colin, keep up the good work.

RACING LEGEND PASSES HIS IAM TEST
Nigel Mansell has passed his IAM Advanced Driving Test .....YES..............the NIGEL MANSELL of Formula 1 fame........ and not only that, but his two sons took the Advanced Test at the same time and also passed. "It must run in the family !" How about that then !
