Team Selection for Matches
 | A list of those Members selected to play in any match can be found on the "Event Calendar" page, then, by double clicking on the respective date of each match. Details of selection, match reports and general information will be updated regularly and will start soon.
To date invitations have been sent out for the Cornwall Captains, Oxford Captains, Gloucestershire Captains, Sussex Captains, Hampshire Captains, County Seniors, Burnham & Berrow Captains, Four Counties, South Wales Coast Captains,Worcestershire Captains, Wiltshire Captains, SGU Executive Committee, South West Regional Secretaries, The Mendip Centenary, Gwent Captains, Wells Captains, Dorset Captains, Worlebury Centenary and Devon Captains matches.
The Autumn Meeting on Wednesday 17th September at Worlebury Golf Club is open to all Somerset Past Captains and you should have received your invitation to this meeting and the AGM that follows. Please make every effort to attend.
When selected, Captain's will receive an invitation at least two weeks prior to the fixture from the Secretary either by POST, E-MAIL or TELEPHONE,and are asked to confirm their availability by return.
If I do not have your current email address please let me know it as selection and invitations can be sent to you more easily, faster and considerably cheaper.
If your name appears on the Event Calendar site prior to you receiving your invitation and you know that you will not be available then please notify me.
On receiving your invitation you are requested to confirm, immediately, to the Secretary, Brian Reeves on 01934.813804 or e-mail breeves@oldmixon.freeserve.co.uk your availability to play as any replacements would like as much notice as we can offer to fill your spot.
There will always be a light lunch on arrival for the matches with an evening meal following the days golf so the appropriate dress and staying for Dinner is essential. Also a £1.00 fine will be imposed if you are not wearing your Somerset Captains Tie at Dinner.
It will help considerably if you could request any merchandise you need at the time when you confirm your availability so that it can be brought along to you on match day. It will eliminate the need to carry large bundles of stock around the country.
