Gwent Show Their Steel
 | Llanwern Golf Club played host on Tuesday 11th September to this re-arranged Annual Fixture between Gwent Captains and Somerset Captains. This was the 20th meeting between the two County Captains teams and with this 5 - 3 win to Gwent the margin of wins has been shortened to 10 for Somerset and 8 for Gwent with 2 matches halved over that period.
These are always well supported games and the spirit that they are played in is excellent. The results are secondary to the goodwill and fine camaraderie that has been established over the years between the teams. Long may that continue.
In their closing speeches both Captains were full of praise for the warm andfriendly welcome they received from Llanwern Golf Club and this was met with loud applause from all the Captains.
