Somerset Captains Retain Trophy
 | Somerset Golf Captains were delighted with the warm welcome they received at Orchardleigh Golf Club when they entertained Gloucestershire Golf Captains in their annual golf match.
The welcome was more than matched by the weather as the sun shone throughout, the day turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far and it was a most enjoyable meeting for all the Captains.
Both Captains, John Chillington for Somerset and Derek Godwin for Gloucestershire, were most complimentary in their after dinner speeches not only of the condition of the course but also full of praise for Tony, the Chef, and his team of Charn, Lee, Emma and her little sister, for laying on such a good and varied menu for us. We thank you all.
