1851 Died MIRIAM, Widow of BENJAMIN NEWPORT the Deacon., in early life she manifested a sincere love to the Religion of the Gospel of Christ. Occasionally she attended the Preaching of the Wesleyan Ministers at Marston Pound, and the Lower Woodlands in the old Preaching house still used - and remembered with fond love, the holy zeal and labours of those Faithful Servants of God. In Mature life she joined the Independents and continued a firm & sincere, tho humble follower of Christ, until Death calmly removed her to a happier world, in the 84th year of her age.
In Jany 1854 Died MRS MARY BARBER Widow Aged 91 years - in days of youth whilst residing in Frome she attended the Ministry of MR DENHAM at Zion Chapel. She always spoke of him as her Spiritual Father and such was her love to his preaching, that after she had settled at Trudoxhill, she would with a female Friend. by the light of their lanthorn in the dark winter nights wend her way across the fields & solitary roads to Frome - to the week night Services. And on the cold snowy Christmas Morning would go to attend a Prayer Meeting. This she allways spoke of with pleasure as the time of her "first love" and sanctified recollections delighted to recall these early days. In after years she became a Member of the Church at Trudoxhill. to which place and People she remained firmly attached till Death. Her Funeral Sermon was preached in Feby 1854. - Mrs BARBER's husband Died early in life. He was brother to MR JOHN BARBER the Deacon.
In the autumn of 1854 Died SARAH DOWLING an aged widow firmly attached to the cause of truth and humbly trusting in the Redeemer, her latter life was a continued Dependance on Providence & Grace. Her death was an undisturbed resignation and calm commission of her Soul to God and tho poor in this world yet "rich in faith" and heir to the Kingdom of Heaven
Their mortal remains are deposited in the Burial Ground of the Chapel. This register of the Faithful Dead will be continued as future solemn events may require.
