Christmas Festivities

On Dember 2nd the Club's Annual General Meeting was held at the BAY Centre this was very well attended.
Chairman, Cllr. Arthur Thorogood welcomed everyone and was re-elected.
Cllr Dave Parry was re-elected as Hon. Secretary.
The Hon. Treasurer, Mrs Di Vincent, was absent - due to illness and a new member, David Evans was elected as the new Hon. Treasurer.
The Sponsored walk at Apex Leisure Park had raised £700 and a Club evening devoted to Children in Need raised more than £80.
The Secretary suggested that as the previous Fund Raising Officer, Carol, wished to step down after a magnificent year of fund raising - the position should be left vacant as the funds were so healthy.
Scott and Andrew were elected as Club Members onto the Committee and Mrs Shirley Connell was re-elected as the Club's representative on the BAY Centre Committee..
It was suggested by Phillip Dyer that members should have their own Committee to discuss matters they wished Scott and Andrew to put forward to the main Committee. This was thought to be a good idea and will be set up in the New Year.
It was further agreed that the new Committee be delgated to appoint Barbara as Leader and Jane as Deputy Leader and that they both serve on the main Committee.
The remaining member of the Committee is appointed by Sedgemoor District Council - at present this is Cllr. Mike Mansfield - this is confirmed by SDC each May.
===========================================
