Children in Need

Annually members of the Gateway Club have much pleasure giving money for the Children in Need appeal and 2006 was no exception.
The whole club night was devoted to making money for the appeal and more than £175 was raised.
The weekly raffle had 16 prizes and raised £25 - with all tickets sold.
Ann brought a 'silver' board where squares were bought for £1- a time and then scratched off to reveal Sam as the winner of a box of Black Magic Chocolates - this raise £30. Ann also made some delicious cup cakes with the Pudsey logo on each one - these were a 'sell - out'.
There were prizes for each of the games and Stephen Porter won the Pool, Peter Haskins and Philip Dyer won at darts, Paul Wade and Stephen Porter won throwing coins onto a numbered board, Stephen Porter and Paul Rouse won the game of skittles, John Hatherway and Margaret Davies won Connect 4 and Wendy Turner won the painting competition. Wendy also raised money by selling badges of Pudsey Bear that she had made.
This was a good evening where members enjoyed themselves and raised money for a good cause at the same time.
