Step By Step Guide to registering

Get high speed broadband internet to Sully!

Step by Step guide of what to do...
1)
Go to the
BT Broadband services site and use their "can I get it?" checker to see if ADSL Broadband is available in your area yet (if it is available already then you can order straight away from any Broadband ISP), and you'll be told the findings from a preliminary check on your line giving you an idea of if you should be able to receive a Broadband service once the exchange is upgraded, along with some details about the pre-registration scheme and trigger level for the exchange. Even if your exchange is showing as having hit the trigger level, you still need to register your interest in broadband.
Once you know this you should pre-register your interest with any Broadband ISP taking part in BT's registration of interest system, such as
Zen, BTopenworld or BT Broadband - During the registration of interest stage you aren't tied to the ISP's that you register with, and can pick any applicable ADSL Broadband provider once the exchange passes the trigger level.
2)
BT only allows one "pre-registration" per telephone number that you want to be upgraded to ADSL, but it's advisable to pre-register at a couple of ISP's incase the ISP that you register with doesn't file the details in to BT's pre-registration database fast enough, or incase the ISP isn't fully taking part in the registration of interest scheme. See our list of
ISP's known to be taking part in the registration scheme, and other alternatives can be found at BT's official list of Broadband Suppliers.
4)
Check the current number of pre-registrations (and the trigger level, if set) of your exchange on BT's
Availability and Registration pages, and see how close your exchange is to getting upgraded. The updates to BT's pre-registration database are not immediate, and it can take several days for your pre-registration to show up, so if the figure hasn't increased from an earlier visit then do not worry, as it will rise next time BT updates the page.
5)
Keep returning to

http://www.communigate.co.uk/wales/broadband4sully regularly, for the latest news and updates of how the pre-registration scheme is getting on. Also remember to tell your neighbours and friends about ADSL, and the efforts to get Broadband to the area - the more people who want ADSL, the faster we'll get it, and the sooner you'll be using the internet faster!
Once the exchange reaches the trigger level you will either be contacted by the ISP that you pre-registered with, asking if you want to confirm the order, or you can contact the ISP of your choice to make an advance order - make sure you've filled out the form at the bottom of this page so you'll know when the trigger is reached.
