A National Charity Based in Barry

Follow Your Dreams is a national Charity, set up to raise awareness and funds for youngsters with Down's Syndrome and other learning disabilities. The Charity is based in Barry but travels the whole of the UK with its Road Show, which attracts lots of attention, with its aim to raise awareness and funds, whilst providing lots of fun and entertainment.

Our Patron, Mr Greg Silvester, is a young man of many talents, who happens to have Downs Syndrome, he is a former special olympic world champion in gymnastics, has won over 200 medals, teaches and coaches mainstream gymnastics and is an inspiration to many parents and youngsters alike. We are fortunate to have Greg come along to our Road Shows when ever he can fit us in his busy schedual and we are honored to call him a friend.

Follow Your Dreams will be working in conjunction with the Special Olympics GB throughout 2007, raising funds to help many athletes who have been nominated to represent the UK in the World Special Olympic Games in October 2007 in Shanghai. Each athlete will have to pay around £2000 to take part, and we want to help as many of them raise that money as we can, these talented athletes deserve all the support that they can get.

We have lots of fundraising activities that are on going, monthly membership or one off donations, we have a online puppet and toy store and we are currently looking at a few companies that have expressed an interest in helping us on a corporate level and we are always keen to hear new ideas.
