Axis Historical Society - Local History For Barry South Wales

The Axis Historical Society is a registered charity. no. 1052998.

The Axis Historical Society was formed in Barry South Wales, UK, in 1993 with the aim of preserving the history of Barry by way of photographs, documents and artefacts.

We will use this web space to provide up to date information about Axis and our activities.
It will contain articles historical, topical and of general interest. Timelines for both our own organisation and Barry will also be included. We hope it will become the local point of contact for our society.

We will also include a series of articles called. 'Local History Hard Talk'. In these we intend to pull no punches when it comes to what we have had to endure and overcome, just to provide local history for interested parties in Barry and further afield.

As time goes by we will add more subjects of interest to the site. Axis supports the Communigate idea of providing free web sites to community groups and charities like ourselves.

Please note that at this time our pages are for the most, undergoing construction . So please, feel free, if you spot any errors in the text to report them to us and we will see to it that they are corrected.

The Guestbook and Reader Poll are now active for this site on an experimental basis. We would be grateful if visitors who have a genuine interest in our voluntary work and the history of Barry to leave comments and take a few moments to complete the Reader Poll.

Please note. if you are interested in assisting the Axis Historical Society in any of the ways listed in our reader poll. Please feel free to contact me direct by using the e mail form link left of screen or by use of my e mail address below.

Looking forward to your visits and feedback.

Many Thanks
