Axis Adopts Former Barry Lifeboat
 | During 2002 our society adopted a boat. However, its not just any old boat. This one, once served out of Barry on the dark and often dangerous waters of the Bristol Channel, where she saved 44 lives with the RNLI.
You might have guessed by now that our boat, is a Lifeboat, and it went by the name 'Arthur and Blanche Harris. Today she is still saving lives, thousands of miles away from home, out of Ulladulla, New South Wales, Australia, under the banner of the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol Australia, where she goes by the new name 'P& O Nedloyd Strathalan'. Watch this space for updates about our boat and our new found friends down under. |
