MOSTONBROOK SANCTUARY URGENTLY NEEDS HELP

The mostonbrook sanctuary is in north Pembrokeshire / on the Carmarthen border we care for old sick disabled donkeys and ponies we take the one's no others will take we are a perment rest home for these beloved animals We came from Manchester in 1996 when our sanctuary home was compulsary purchased by Manchester City council we faught against them for 27 years but in the end they won we lost and we came to west Wales and of course we brought all the animals  now 7 years on we have faced hood and bad times here sadly though we have had problems since the onset of foot and mouth and last year we faced debts of over £28,000 to continue to survive and keep the old and frail I personal took out a huge loan to pay it all off and buy winter feed now there is no money left and winter and sorms and ill health has taken its toll Now we are asking people if they can help it can be in many ways firstly we are desperatly in need of helpers to muck out clean help on the stables or exercise the small old ponies, [ sorry non of our equines are ridable ] also we need sponsors or people to hold small fundraising events  for us we need help also with our annual horse show the DOLFYNYDD SHOW all the money [if any] raised goes entirely to the animals We need stewards judges and a show commity to help please contact us at the sanctuary on 01239 698649 STORMS Yes terrible storms hit us hard this last few weeks and what a lousy start to a new year tired cold depressed and low in spirits i called a friend Lesley McMahon from NASSL Nasional Animal Suport League, she started to phone anyone and everyone eventualy she got us help OH BOY and waht wonderful help it was to, we got the Royal Signals in to help and they have done wonders they stopped our hay loft from falling down and cleared up drains that have blocked and mud that was causing us horrid problems  they sorted out our worries and even though there is still a lot of workk to do they have achieved more in 2 days of work than we could in a year so thanks lads you are the best simply the best
