Making a difference
The aim of the club is to promote the welfare and enhance the status of all reptiles and amphibians in captivity and the wild.
We encourage active involvement in the conservation of reptiles and amphibians both native and foreign and where possible promote by practical means.
Through education we hope to improve the image of
herpetiles and promote a healthy caring attitude in people wishing to keep them in captivity and further scientific knowledge relating to reptiles and amphibians, particularly those kept in captivity.
We discourage the trade of wild caught herpetiles and promote the keeping of captive bred herpetiles.
At our regular meetings, or through individual contact, we share our knowledge and experience to further captive breeding of specimens kept by members.
With much help from Silent World we provide a rescue service for abused, abandoned and badly kept reptiles and amphibians with a network of individuals prepared to offer advice.
