The short tempered, little angry man Jamie Lyons who is without a doubt one of the most hated men in Wiltshire, came out on top with 39% of the votes.
The un-popular Pocock who has been subject to abuse from oppenents for being easily knocked off his feet at times notched 18%. Whilst Club Captain Jones, the out-spoken O'Meara, Iraqi Hemmati and all round bad boy Beasley took 7% each.

Who should the first goal against Holt be awarded to? With the choice being between Jamie Lyons who's goal bound shot was lashed in by the Steven Segal. A Late surge of votes on Wednesday Night ensured that the Glimmer Man took the credit with a whopping 68% of the votes. This will come as a huge dissapointment to Lyons who must have turned his computer on and off, and then back on again a lot of times to reach the 28 votes that came in for him. However justice soon proveiled and it is now official that the first goal against Holt will go down as an own goal.

Who will finish Top Goal Scorer for the Social? New signing Shahram Hemmati topped the poll with 40% of the votes, despite having yet scored for the Social this season or even playing a game. The rumour that has been going around the club is that Hemmati may have rigged the votes with a number of votes coming from the Bristol and Iranian network. D.Jones rolled in second with 15% of the votes with a number of them coming from the Farleigh Close Area and an odd one or two from a Ladbookes on-line account. Larder, Pocock and G.Banks shared 30%
In a recent survey, fans and players of biddestone social were asked "What Goalkeeper is Rob Smith most like?" An overwhelming majority voted that the Goalkeeper Smith reminded them of was Peter Enkleman with 35% of the votes. Drug Taking Aussie Mark Bosnich rolled in second with 18% of the votes whilst Neville Southall, Eric Thorstevedt and Shaka Hislop all followed with 12% 9% and 6% respectively.
Should the Social do a secret Santa? People voted that is an idea that they would entertain however would drop out if they pulled out Brian Starnge's name. Shame on you Bri....
When the question was asked of who was John O'Meara's best ever signing? An overwhelming majority voted for Goal scoring Power House Matt Pratley! Pratley who managed two and a half seasons for the Social scoring 42 times in just 29 outings won by a clear margine with 38% of the votes. Lardner and Lyons were among the following pack, voting for themselves 4 times each. Reed, Pocock and Kev Banks were also in the running with 10% a piece, whilst Will Edwards failed to get a vote.
New joint manager Daniel Lardner has won the poll for the worst performance of the season. His drunken and lackluster display has seen him clinch the title of worst player from the grasp of james tindle whose horrific performance quickly follwed. Daniel is a cosistant player but let himself down this weekend. Chin up Daniel
Goal of the season so far (30/10/2007) has gone to Jamie Lyons for his finish against Corsham Centre in the first round of the cup 44%. The striker took his shot on early from lomg range clipping the inside of the post on the way in. Dan Lardners effort against Miller Sports in the opening game of the season came second with 28%
The question of "should the Social get a new kit was asked". Opinions were split between playing the Little George for their kit, just getting a new kit in general and the idea that a new kit would be great but many people fear the the club funds have been bled dry funding the Robert Strange Wedding.
People in general feel that it is time to wash our hands of the peach/gold shirts for something that fits a little better. With a possible investor in the form of Josh Jeffries on the horizon a new kit could be on the cards.
35% of voters sighted Simon Moore as the Audley Arms player they would most like to see sign for the Social, with Nick Gapper closley behind with 31% The remaining 34% were made up by 8 other players who probably voted for themeselves to try and get in the shop window. |
