A Special Visitor
| We enjoyed the company of a Special visitor during November 2005. None other than Terry Wickens, who until recently reaching the end of his term of office, was the President of Unit 71 of the Canadian Korean Veterans Association. (With whom Swidon Branch is Twinned). Terry is seen below accompanied by Alvenia, receiving the BKVA plaque. From L. to R. are Ed Taylor (Chairman) Alvenia, Terry, Major General Mike Swindell (President), and Bert Davey (Secretary) | |

MMG Section Loss
| Bob Stevens is mentioned in this cutting from the Times newspaper, reporting the tragic death of Corporal Richardson during a mortar barrage on Hill 355. Private Cooke (Cookie) another of Bob's Section was also wounded. Both returned to the Line after their wounds were treated. | |

A stop-off at JRBD Kure
 | | Bob Stevens paid a visit to JRBD Kure whilst he was on escort duty from Korea to meet up and have a few pints with Charley (Al in those days) Haynes, who he had served on the same Korean positions: The Hook and Hill 355. This photo was taken by a resident Japanese photographer in the foyer of the JRBD Camp Club. |
