Boules at The Bull

Boules at The Bull is a club for boules (also known as pétanque) players based at The Red Bull Inn, Sherston Road, Malmesbury, SN16 0RA

We meet on Thursday evenings at 7.15 p.m. from April to October, depending upon the weather. We welcome players of all abilities, from those who have never played before to experienced players. We all pay £1 into a pot, draw for partners and the team of 2 or 3 players that has the highest score that evening takes the pot. Scores also go into a league and as the end of the season approaches competition hots up as there are prizes at the annual dinner!

We have 2 all day competitions each year also open to players outside the club and one for members only called The Kevin Cup.

The club has a team in the Cotswold Pétanque League playing against other clubs in the area. It is also affiliated to the English Pétanque Association which gives insurance and liability cover and access to regional and national competitions. We are fortunate in having a member who is a regional coach always happy to organize coaching sessions on request.
