Craft and Chatter Group
'Craft and Chatter' is a fun group that meets to share their interest in an assortment of crafts, including knitting, over a friendly chat & cuppa. All craft varieties are welcome as long as you can take your latest project with you! The meetings are held from 7.30 pm and are hosted by Jill Banks.
The Book Club meets regularly to discuss the chosen book and its challenges. Different people enjoy reading different styles of book and it is always interesting to find out how everyone responded to the recommended book! Details of the current book can be found on the events page with the date of the next meeting. Jill Banks hosts the group from 7.30 pm at her home.
Boxlea WI members meet regularly to take part in local walks. Some walks are more challenging than others, but all generally culminate in a social lunch or tea somewhere local. We share transport where we can and when this is appropriate to get to the location for the walk. Walk leaders are happy to advise you on the nature of the walk (level, hilly etc) so that you know what you are letting yourself in for! Details of the next planned walk can be found on the events page.
Wiltshire Council have also set up 10 free community walking groups and those local to Box include the Melksham, Corsham and Chippenham groups. All walk groups meet weekly at 9.30 am and are led by trained walk leaders.

Wiltshire Federation organises an annual Whist Tournament. Boxlea WI aims to field a team whenever we can! Players of any standard are welcome to join the team as it is always important to field a full complement! Nevertheless, owing to the skills of our regular players, we came a creditable third in the Wiltshire 2011 Tournament - well played everyone! We have something to aim for in the 2012 Tournament now!
Details of the 2012 Whist Tournament will be published when they become available.
There is a Scrabble Tournament arranged by Wiltshire Federation; Boxlea WI aims to put in a team whenever we can. Scrabble experts are most welcome, but taking part is always good fun!
