Who are we?
We are a group of midwives, health visitors and breastfeeding mums that offer support to mothers who are breastfeeding.
The support groups are open to anyone, whether you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, whether it’s your first or second baby (or third or fourth!), or whether you have successfully breastfed in the past or not.
We can offer advice and support on many difficulties, we can also advise you on the best way to express milk, or perhaps you might want to discuss returning to work with other breast feeding mums in the same situation as you. You may just want to talk to other breastfeeding mums!
Where are we?
The breastfeeding support groups are held at the following venues:Friday - 10.30am to 12.00pm
Broken Cross Health Centre

Wednesday - 10.00am to 11.30am

If you wish to have individual support, contact Greenways Maternity Unit on Telephone 01249 456434. The Midwives can put you in touch with a member of the Breast of Friends. The Breast of Friends is a peer support group run by local mothers who are or have breastfed. They have completed additional training to assist them in providing support, information and friendship to breastfeeding Mums in the local community.
