Financial assistance for people aged 16 - 25

The Broad Town Trust (Reg Charity 309528) was originally established by the Will of Sarah, Duchess of Somerset, in 1686. Through the centuries it has helped thousands of young people establish themselves for their future lives.
In 1990 the objects of the Charity were  extended to apply to male and female applicants, aged 16 - 25, who were born in the County of Wiltshire, or who have resided, or had their principal place of residence here, for the past five years.
the Trust was established to give assistance to young people whose financial circumstances prevent them from establishing themselves in a career, worthwhile occupation or self employment. Consequently the Trustees are bound to consider the financial circumstances of each applicant closely. All information given is treated in strictest confidence.
Demand for grants far outstrips the funds available - each year approximately 25 grants in the region of £300 are made for books, tools or equipment. It is not possible to consider applications for tuition fees. The Trustees meet each February, May and September.
Please use the Trust's Application Form to apply and return it with supporting evidence eg letters of recommendation, tutorial reports, course acceptencte etc to: The Administrator, The Broad Town Trust, 64 St Edmunds Church Street, Salisbury, SP1 1EQ. Tel: 01722 500162
