Bulford Church of England Primary School John French Way Bulford Village Salisbury Wiltshire SP4 9HP
Our school is a Church of England Primary which became Voluntary Aided on 1st January 2005. We have strong links to both the church of St. Leonard’s and Salisbury Cathedral, and our Collective Worship is in line with the school’s Trust Deed.
We serve a catchment which includes both the village and the nearby army camp at Bulford and approximately 50% of our pupils come from service families.
We are also linked with Enkalweni Junior Secondary School in South Africa’s Eastern Cape and we keep in touch with them through letters, postcards and reciprocal visits.

Avondale Independent School
 |
Avondale School is a family-run Independent Day School for boys and girls aged 3-11. Founded in 1923 the school moved to its current location just 3 miles from Stonehenge, in 1957. Within easy reach of Salisbury and Andover the school is housed in a large, homely building. We have a secure, enclosed playing field and recreational facilities.
We aim to create a learning environment in which all children feel valued and confident but which stretches them to their full potential. The school provides a broad and well-balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum, which reflects our independent status yet enables easy transfer should a pupil move schools.
We are delighted with the progress of the school since we took over in September 2000. We continue to revise and refine the curriculum and have made considerable investment in ICT. We have established Inter-school fixtures and a Year 6 Adventure Development Residential Trip to Dartmoor. Pupil numbers have risen and there are waiting lists for several classes.
We offer: * Recognised academic success * A fully qualified teaching staff * Quality accommodation and resources * A caring family environment * French from Reception class * Small classes * Cooked lunches prepared daily by our chef * After School Care Club until 5.30pm daily * A very active and supportive Parents' Association
Our ethos is based on non-denominational Christian principles and places great emphasis on consideration for others, good manners and the fostering of good social relationships.
Many Year 6 children sit the 11+ Examination for entry to the Salisbury Grammar Schools and Avondale has achieved a notable success rate with its entrants. Destinations for our leavers also include a variety of independent schools.
At Avondale School your child is important, your child's education is important and your child's happiness is important. Why not arrange a visit to see if we can make a difference to your child's educational experience.
