SALISBURY PLAIN TRAINING AREA (SPTA)
NEWS SHEET FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2008

This forecast shows our planned training. Unfortunately operational requirements mean that dates and times can change. The warning flags and signs show the actual range danger areas on a given day. Late night firing times Tues, Thurs and Sat March to October 2330hrs and November to February 2100hrs inclusive.

General comments about military training should be made through Parish Councils to the Liaison Officer nominated by the appropriate Garrison Headquarters.
Specific complaint should be made in writing or IF URGENT by telephone as shown below

TRAINING: November will be an unusually routine month as far as training is concerned. The main event is a TESEX for 1 Coldstream Guard battle groups running from the 10 - 27 November. However, they are a light rolled battalion and their presence should not affect local parishes. Apart from the usual rash of exercises from the Land Warfare Centre at Warminster, including a Squadron level armoured exercise 10 - 14 November, there will be little in the way of armoured manoeuvre and relatively little artillery live firing with none at all from gun positions outside the centre.
