Golf Days to Raise Funds

Bowood Golf day 22nd April 2009

Teams of 4 were invited to take part for a Texas Scramble format event as has been run each year by the Lions Club of Chippenham at Bowood for more than 10 years.

The competition was played in excellent weather and followed by a good meal at the golf club.

Sponsorship was lower this year due to the current econmoic climate but nevertheless we managed to raise more than £300 from the golf and a raffle for the Naomi House Childrens Hospice which serves children living in the area.

Those taking part were able to have
o coffee on arrival

o an 18 Hole Round on the Bowood Championship Course
using Texas Scramble format

o take part in a Putting competition

o a 3 Course evening meal
