Golf Days to Raise Funds

Bowood Golf Day Thurs 3rd April 2008
Teams of 4 were invited to take part for the Texas scramble competition. The golf was followed by a meal at the Bowood Club.
Last year more than £800 was raised and Lion President Derek Angell thanked everyone present for their support, particularly Howard Smith Papers for their sponsorship. He also gave special thanks to former club member Alwyn Boardman for the organisation of the day.

Those taking part were able to have
o coffee on arrival

o an 18 Hole Round on the Bowood Championship Course
using Texas Scramble format

o take part in a Putting competition

o a 3 Course evening meal
