The Team
Dependable stopper at the back, Tawny sees himself as a modern day Alan Hansen. He joined the side following the collapse of the Swindon Police team. | |
|
Marcus Tawn
Lofty midfielder Simmo prides himself on his fitness and stamina, working tirelessly from box to box and netting some important goals for the team.
| |
|
Mark Simpson
Experienced Tim, in his second stint for the Police team, has been a regular goal scorer this season. Re-signed following the demise of Lacock FC Tim has been a regular starter this season, causing problems for the opposition with his long throws and aerial prowess.

|
Tim Culling
First choice keeper Martin has a thankless task each week trying to keep a clean sheet. Committed to the cause Martin has saved the team's blushes countless times.
| |
|
Martin Notman
Committed combative defensive midfielder....that will do!
| |
|
Adam Davey
Another new signing for the 2004/05 season Andy has added some refinement to the defensive line up, demonstrating a quiet composure as he goes about his game.
| |
|
Andy Morley
Left footer Gordie provides the natural balance to the team, offering a natural left side option to the side. Measured crosses and corners from the left are his signature, including a long range 'fluke' goal away to North Bradley.

|
Gordon Hardie
| This man provides 100% week in week out, giving a determined 'Ooph' with every kick. A sturdy defender, Mick hides his age well with some energetic performances, often playing off night shift demonstrating his level of commitment to the club. | |
|
Mick 'Ooph' Mansell
| Tony 'look what I found in my bag' Kerwick was signed in the close season from Chippenham Sports & Social FC, and has slotted into the Police midfield comfortably. Fit and strong Tony exudes quality in possession and battles for every ball. He's still practising his free kicks. | |
|
Tony Kerwick
| 'Rippo' is one of the longest standing team members of the Police team, bringing composure and discipline to the side. A cross between Kanu and Bruce Grobbelaar his ball skills are hard to predict, and he offers a positive mental attitude and great vocal motivation to the team that cannot be underestimated. | |
|
Julian Kirby
| Club Secretary and playboy playmaker Jason Roberts provides style and entertainment every time he plays. A gifted footballer without question Roberts is in danger of becoming the 'Emile Heskey' of the Chippenham Sunday league, never quite fulfilling his underlying potential. Roberts has the ability to turn any game but moments of genius are outnumbered by sulking apathy. A true lover of the team and himself, Roberts is the only team member with his own fan club. | |

| Young Dom (or Chesney to his older friends) is busy at university, learning all about growing up, beer and football..... | |
|
Dominic Maidment
| Andy Hunt joined the Police team for the 2006/2007 season from high flying Semington Rovers. Why? Good question.... but it was a great boost for us, and he has been ever present this season in the centre of midfield. His industry and pace have made up for his lack of height and he has fitted in instantly to the side. | |
|
Andy Hunt
| Craig Holden burst onto the scene in the 2005/2006 season and instantly became a regular on the right side of midfield, impressing with his fitness levels and pace. A natural sportsman Craig won the coveted 'players player of the season' award after only his first season with the team. This season 2006/2007 he has not featured quite as regularly with other priorities affecting his availability for Sunday morning playtime.... | |

Craig Holden
| James has been another influential signing for the 2006/2007 season, naturally filling the role of left midfield. His sweet left foot and reading of the game has provided great balance to the side and he has already contributed some important goals. Another player showing great commitment to the cause he has managed to play in every game possible, helping to field a far more settled team on a weekly basis. | |
|
James Parfitt
| Young Steve has been one of the finds of the season for the Police team, adding much needed youth to the side along with a natural fitness and sportsmanship. A versatile player he seems to have claimed a centre half spot as his own following significant injuries to the recognised defenders. Quiet and unassuming he is still recovering from the humility of being airlifted to hospital with a bruised toe. | |
|
Steve Worthy
Chris 'The Cat' Fairbairn has been another fantastic signing for this season 2006/07. A decent outfield player as well, he has performed heroics in goal earning praise for some of his man of the match performances between the sticks.

Chris Fairbairn
| John Thompson has been another new signing for the team and has endeavoured to forge a striking partnership with the enigmatic Jason Roberts. He has been likened to Matia Kezman the ex-Chelsea striker - lots of hard work but no goals. His work ethic is impressive though and he regularly puts Roberts to shame by working back into his own half for the benefit of the team and contributes with some strong battling work when not in possession - often with a hangover! | |
|
John Thompson
| Louis 'the animal' Mccoy is an experienced centre half newly acquired for the 2006/07 season. Unfortunately a couple of serious injuries have sidelined him until the end of Jan 07, but he has added some much needed leadership into the defence. Scary though he appears, he really is a friendly guy.... | |

That's it for now! |
