CYCLO-CROSS CALENDAR: 2009-2010 SEASON - WESTERN LEAGUE SERIES ROUND 7 – CASTLE COMBE

IMPORTANT NOTICE - the times in respect of the above event appears incorrectly in the BC Cyclo-Cross Handbook 2009-2010.

The correct times are as follows;


Under 12 – 10:30
Youth - 11:00
S/J/V/W - 11:45

Wheelers Youth team make National Time Trial Final.

On September 2, 2009, Luke Davies (aged 14) together with Erin (12), Adele (14) and Ashley Martin (15) represented Chippenham & District Wheelers at the National Juvenile Time Trial Championships. The event took place in very warm conditions near Evesham in Worcestershire over an undulating 10-mile course. 165 boys and girls from 12 to 16 years old had reached the final from heats previously held in their districts.

Chippenham Wheelers chairman Andy Cook said “In their first year of competition the Wheelers Youth Team has done exceptionally well in reaching the final. We were delighted with their achievement of 10th place on the day.”

Proud father Rob Martin said “We were recommended to join Chippenham & District Wheelers because they are a family oriented cycling club with a strong emphasis on the coaching of their Youth members. My wife Clare and I are over the moon with what our children have achieved so far”
